Two jobs at once

JRL exports barber equipment to several countries. Packaging for an export product has to protect the item through a long supply chain, and then sell it on a shelf in a market where the brand is unknown. Those pull in different directions, and the specification has to serve both.

The specification

  • 350gsm art card
  • Matte lamination with matte UV
  • Embossing on the brand mark
  • Die cut window with a blister fitting to hold the razor

Supplied as a production file

We supplied production ready dieline artwork, so the design and the cutting are one file rather than two things that have to be reconciled at the press.

Why in-house production matters here

A window cut and a blister fitting are exactly where design and production either meet or fail. Handling both means tolerances get checked before the plates are made, not after a run has already gone wrong.
