What cookies are

Cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) are small pieces of data stored on your device by websites you visit. They help sites remember your preferences and understand how they are used.

Cookies we use

Necessary (always on). We use local storage to remember your cookie choice (bd_consent) and to run the pricing offer countdown (bd_offer_deadline). These store no personal information and never leave your device.

Analytics (only if you choose "Accept all"). If you accept, we load Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager, which set cookies such as _ga to measure how visitors use the site. If you choose "Necessary only" or "Reject", none of these load at all.

Your three choices

Accept all — necessary storage plus analytics cookies.

Necessary only — just the essentials needed for the site to work. No analytics cookies.

Reject — the same as "Necessary only"; no analytics cookies are set.

Privacy-friendly traffic counting

Separately from cookies, our own server keeps a simple count of page visits (which page, roughly what device, and the referring website). This uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and it does not store your IP address or anything that identifies you personally — visits are counted using a one-way daily code that cannot be traced back to a person. Because it collects no personal data and touches no device storage, it runs regardless of your cookie choice, in line with UK GDPR and PECR.

How long your choice is remembered

If you accept analytics cookies, we remember that for 12 months. If you choose "Necessary only" or "Reject", we remember that for 6 months. After that the banner appears once more so you can confirm or change your mind — we do not re-ask on every visit.

On this site: your choice is remembered from the consent banner. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser (see below) and the banner will appear again on your next visit — or use the button here:

Reset my cookie choice

In your browser: all major browsers let you view, block and delete cookies in their settings — usually under Privacy or Site Settings in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Blocking essential storage may affect small features like the offer countdown.

Third parties

Consented analytics are provided by Google. You can learn how Google uses data at google.com/policies/privacy/partners, and opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's browser add-on.
